Today, I finished the study of Psalm 120. Even though this psalm tells of crying out to the Lord for vindication against liars and those who do things behind our back even while they seem to care for us, I thought the main truth in the psalm was something entirely different. What about you? To me I was so blessed to know just the truth in verse l: "In my distress I called to the Lord and He ANSWERED ME". Just knowing that the Lord of the Universe, Sovereign God, answers me when I call Him. And next that He listens to what I have to say and is interested! How blessed we are to have the privilege and honor to run to Him, let Him take us up into His arms, hold us and love on us! Anybody else? Let's remember in our times of trouble to run first to Him. Have a blessed day!

  1. What better one to run to? And He never tires of listening to our complaints, worries, and needs. He even wants to spend more time with us!
Wow! This is going to be a fantastic journey and I am looking forward to - "Steppin' Up." Thank you, Annette, for telling me about this study. You said it was what we needed right now and you were right!
I wanted to share something I read in another little book of Beth Moore's that seemed to go along with this study. She used the verse Philippians 3:10 My determined purpose (Annette, our purpose) is that I may know Him, that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His person. Beth explains- "Not just understanding what He can do, although that is critical. Not just what He can give, although He is the giver of all good gifts. But Paul said, I want to perceive, recognize, understand the wonders of His own personhood more strongly and more clearly."
I think as we see Him more clearly, we see how unimportant the temporal trials we face are. We are loved, protected, cared and provided for by The God Who is beyond our comprehension and He wants us to know Him more. Do you know any real important person that wants you to know him/her on this level? The God of everything wants us to spend time knowing Him more. He wants to bless us with His presence! Does it get any better? Our purpose-Know God more- it is such a great blessed purpose! Thanks again.
May God bless each person in this study and their families as we all continue on this journey to "Steppin Up"
